The Global Influenza Hospital Surveillance Network (GIHSN) is a platform able to generate strong epidemiological and medical evidence on influenza severity and to support vaccine strain selection through timely sharing of clinical and laboratory data. GIHSN can inform policy decisions and serve as a network for improved respiratory viruses surveillance capacity building and response.
